Shopping!

Tell me i gotta curb my shopping! Haa~ Yesterday was a full day out in the city. Tiffany, Eunice and I met Bryan and Kevin for 'yum cha' in the late morning at Chinatown's Sharkfin House. I must comment that the dim sum served was even better quality than some served in Singapore.

After yum cha, we moved on to Smith Street where the factory outlets were situated. We only managed to really ravage Adidas and Nike for good buys though. =P I finally bought my Adidas Climacool running shoes that is white and lime green! Cool isn't it! Got it at only Aud$65 and if you were to convert that into Singapore dollars at the rate of 1.2, then the shoes cost Sgp$78 rather than the rrp of minimum Sgp$120! Then... we moved on to Nike further down the street. I got a black and gold bowling bag for only Aud$28, 2 white ACG caps for freaking Aud$3.50 each and my 2nd pair of air rifts at Aud$60!!!!!

Satisfied with all our shopping (everyone with 2 big bags from Adidas & Nike, with big spender awarded to Bryan), we took the tram to Lygon Street for the infamous Il Dolce Freddo Ice Cream! As recommended, the roche ice cream is really nice with bits of Ferrero Roche with every mouth! Baileys and Lychee is sweet! Too bad we forgot to take pictures cos' we were too excited to sink our teeth or rather tongue into the sinful ice cream!

From Lygon St, we walked to Melbourne University with Kevin as the guide(makes sense since he studies there) , cutting through the park around Melbourne Museum. The school is so old vitorian architecture! I Like!!! If only i studied there, I would love going to school every single day! Even Kevin gets to take his exams at the Melbourne Museum and we are taking ours at the Caulfield racecourse! Haa~ Never would I imagine we will be taking exams at a racecourse! Interesting!

Finishing the school tour, I met up with Wenkang and headed towards 'The Quay' and Docklands for dinner by the Victoria Bay. Nice place but nothing compared to Darling Harbour in Sydney. Bigger and more life too. I finally had my 1st steak in Australia and fresh oysters! The walls along the stairs up to the restaurant that overlooks the bay is all decorated with oysters to form an artpiece. Somehow while walking to the washroom I felt as if I was really on a cruise ship! Dinner costed a whooping Aud$150 and Wenkang decided that it was his treat. So A HUGE THANK YOU TO WENKANG! In return, I shall cook up a nice meal next week for his housemate and him. Haa! Don't sound fair towards him huh...
