NDP Potluck

The 9th of August. The day we officially separated from Malaysia. The day we celebrate island-wide with the official colours red and white. The Singapore's Birthday.

We, the Singaporeans in Melbourne, decided to have our very own National Day Celebration by having a potluck session at Kelvin's place. Dressed up in the national colours, we strutted off to his place after school. We had some Singaporean food like Eunice's own concoction of Hainanese chicken wings, Kelvin's roast pork, Shuqing's ba kut teh and my vegetable curry! Yum Yum!





There was even you tiao to go with the ba kut teh!

We even played national day songs. Just so lovely seeing everyone decked in red and white!



You people in Singapore had a day of holidays! All thanks to SMM Lee Kuan Yew. Without him... there won't be such a prosperous island-state. Whether you like him or not... I salute his decision to get us separated from Malaysia!
