Chingay 2007
With the nice one who gave me the extra ticket The 'in' and 'outsiders' The kaleidoscope of colours and lights Dong Dong Dong Chiang! And then we moved on to Paragon for Mambo! Look at this old pek pek dancing on the stage and his shirt is half soaked in sweat! Okay he don't look dancey in the pic... But he was really grooving... Lots of confetti on the floor! We were getting tired from the dancing as well... And our tops were erm... getting quite wet too... Made our way back to Shaw to get the car and headed to Newton Circus for a cold sugarcane drink to replenish our body liquid and some oyster omelette and bbq stingray and the calories burnt. And finally home for the long-awaited shower!
So when Rowe told me she had tickets for Chingay and asked if I wanna go... Of cos I said yes! Cos, haha~ no squeezing with the crowds. But our tickets did not entitle us to those tierd seats, it jus allows us to be enter beyond the barricades and sit on tar roads alongside the parade.
I parked myself at Shaw and had to go through all the obstacles just to get to Somerset. And upon reaching, Rowe said she had to accompany the bunch of Japanese SOKA exchange students to Dhoby Ghaut Stn instead. So I took the train fr Somerset to Dhoby Ghaut. From there, we slowly ushered the Japanese to Centrepoint... We kept doing head-counts along the way cos we just cannot afford to lose those Japanese teens.
